What do I mean when I talk about ladies making a difference? As I’ve said previously, ladies over 60 have gathered a lot of life experience. Whether by getting married and having children, grandchildren and even great-grandchildren. Or not getting married and not having children. Or getting divorced and then remarrying. Or getting divorced and not remarrying. Or deciding not to marry at all.  Some women will have had careers, others will have worked when they needed to or when they wanted to. Others will not have worked at all, because they didn’t need to or want to, some may even have wanted to, but weren’t able to for some reason.

Whatever our circumstances were when we were younger, all those experiences contribute to our life experience in its various forms and to the wisdom we have accumulated along the way. So surely there must be a use for all of this!

Do we need to reach out and help each other in a way that isn’t readily available?  We can get all the information we need on health, beauty, fashion, relationships, but is there anything that is unique to us over 60’s women that is not catered for?  It may not be apparent to a lot of us, including me, but I’m sure there is something we can do, and I’m thinking as a group – a group helping another group perhaps? What about small groups of women, each group consisting of women with specific experience in an area, and each group able to give their experience to other women who need it? I wonder if there is a need for this? If not helping each other, either individually or as groups, who else could benefit from all this wisdom?

I hope some of you agree with me that there is untapped potential amongst us, and like me want to find whatever it is that we can use our wisdom for.

I am an older woman who thinks of women in my age group as being an untapped source of information derived from life experiences and I believe this amounts to a ‘universal’ wisdom connecting us wherever we are in the world. I want to attract like-minded older women from across the world to share their views and ideas, because I am convinced we can find ways where our wisdom can really make a difference.
